But the boys — from Fairfax, Virginia — soon recovered themselves trapped connected the incorrect broadside of the river.

Micah Campbell, who was with the scouts, told Fox News Digital the unit had planned a regular stream travel earlier conditions rapidly worsened pursuing the storm.

Campbell said the scouts initially moved toward onshore for information earlier realizing they were stranded.

"When immoderate of the boys went into the river, we decided to telephone it disconnected and spell connected shore," helium said. "And present we were connected the incorrect broadside of the river, truthful we needed immoderate assistance getting across."
